Emerald Greens Junior Golf 


The Emerald Greens Golf Futures Club  is a junior golf program providing
golf instruction and encouragement to all junior golfers in Dakota County
and southern Washington County.  
Created in 1997 by Head Coach Barry Wallin, the Futures Club was for girls
only from 1997-2005. In 2006, the Futures Club was opened to include boys.

What does the Futures Club offer?
?  Golf lessons for beginners, intermediates, advanced, or parent/child.

?  Sessions for current grades 1-3, 3-5, and 5-8.
?  Small class sizes allow for lots of individual attention.
?  Lessons are once a week for 8 weeks starting in June.
?  Each lesson is 1 hour and 45 minutes long.
?  The advanced lessons include video analysis and extra practice privileges
    all summer long.
?  League play with contests and prizes for the intermediate and advanced levels.
?  Lessons are given by Barry Wallin, PGA Golf Professional,
    Director of Golf Instruction Emerald Greens GC and Head Girls Golf Coach
    at Rosemount High School. Coach Wallin is assisted by accomplished collegiate
    and high school golfers who are also excellent at working with kids.

The fundamentals of the full swing, putting, chipping, and pitching will be part of
every lesson sequence.  Advanced topics will include sand play, pre-shot routine,
detailed video swing analysis, preparing for competition, and course strategy.

Program Goals:
The Futures Club is dedicated to helping junior golfers become good golfers.
